The Nigerian Air Force has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining intensified air operations against terrorists and other criminal elements across the country, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has said.
Aneke made the pledge during an Eid-el-Fitr luncheon held for troops of Operation Whirl Stroke in Makurdi, Benue State, where he commended personnel for their courage, discipline, and sacrifices in ongoing security operations.
He was represented at the event by the Chief of Civil-Military Relations, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet.
According to him, the Nigerian Air Force will continue intelligence-driven air campaigns aimed at weakening the operational strength of terrorists and criminal networks threatening national security.
He noted that the force has maintained precision strikes, close air support, and armed reconnaissance missions in collaboration with other security agencies.
The air chief added that the coordinated operations with sister services have disrupted the logistics, command structures, and movement of insurgent groups in various theatres of operation.
He assured troops that the service remains resolute in applying air power to support ground forces and protect citizens.
He also expressed appreciation to personnel deployed in conflict zones, urging them to remain committed to the mission of restoring peace and stability across the country.
