‎Lagos couple arrested for allegedly beating adopted daughter to death

Residents of the Igando area of Lagos State were thrown into shock after a couple, identified as Paul Onyeama and Adline Ogbonna, were arrested for allegedly beating their 10-year-old adopted daughter to death.

‎According to residents, the victim, identified simply as Faith, had allegedly been subjected to repeated assaults and strenuous errands by the couple despite her young age.

‎A resident, who spoke on the incident, said the situation escalated when the couple allegedly beat the girl severely despite her condition, leading to her death.

‎The suspects were said to have rushed the child to a hospital after the incident, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.

‎Angered by the development, youths in the community reportedly apprehended the woman before security operatives intervened.
