Oyo State governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), ‘Seyi Makinde, will on Friday, July 31, inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, marking the formal commencement of the party’s campaign structure in the state.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, July 29, and signed by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor of Oyo State, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, has been appointed Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.
The campaign council also includes Hon. Saheed Arowosaye (AROSAD), former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, who will serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign.
Also appointed are the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director-General (South); Dr. Femi Ojo as Deputy Director-General for Oyo Central Senatorial District; and Alhaji Siju Lawal as Deputy Director-General for Oyo North Senatorial District.
Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo has been named Director of the Women’s Wing, while former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, will head the Youth Wing as Director.
The statement added that more appointments into the campaign structure will be announced in due course.
