Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, is set to bring together entrepreneurs, industry experts and key stakeholders in Lagos for its Quarterly Business Forum, aimed at equipping businesses with strategies for competitiveness and sustainable growth.

The forum, themed “Built to Compete: Positioning Lagos Businesses for Sustainable Growth,” will examine the opportunities and challenges confronting businesses in Lagos, with discussions focusing on access to finance, market expansion, innovation, digital transformation and long-term business sustainability.

Speaking ahead of the event, Divisional Head, SME Banking, Fidelity Bank Plc, Ugochi E. Osinigwe, said the forum would provide an opportunity for the bank to engage directly with entrepreneurs and gain deeper insights into their needs.

She said, “Businesses need more than capital to thrive. They require knowledge, structure, networks and the right strategies to compete and grow sustainably. Through the Quarterly Business Forum, we are creating a platform for entrepreneurs to learn from experienced business leaders, exchange insights and identify practical opportunities to strengthen their businesses.”

According to the bank, the Lagos edition builds on its range of SME-focused initiatives, including masterclasses and advisory programmes covering pricing, digital growth, business structure, trade and market expansion.

The Quarterly Business Forum was established as a strategic engagement platform connecting entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers and industry experts to exchange practical ideas on business growth, innovation and sustainability.

Fidelity Bank said the initiative underscores its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through tailored financing, capacity building, advisory services and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

The bank, which serves more than 10 million customers through digital banking channels and 255 business offices in Nigeria, also operates FidBank UK Limited, its subsidiary in the United Kingdom.

Fidelity Bank has received several local and international recognitions, including the 2025 Development Bank of Nigeria Innovation Award for MSME support, Best Retail and SME Bank Award from Independent Newspapers, Best Bank for Export & Trade Finance and Most Innovative Bank of the Year at the 2025 BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions Awards, and Nigeria’s Best Private Bank at the 2025 Euromoney Awards.

It also received the inaugural Most Improved Commercial Bank of the Year award from Nairametrics, SME Bank of the Year award from NewsDirect and the Straight-Through Processing Excellence Award from Citi Group, alongside recognition by Global Brands Magazine for Excellence in Community Empowerment.
