The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has commiserated with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) over the crash of its NAF 931 aircraft, which claimed 25 lives.
Disu paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, on Friday, October 9, 2026, to express the sympathy of the Nigeria Police Force over the tragic incident.
During the visit, the IGP conveyed the condolences of the Force to the leadership, officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who lost their lives in the crash.
He expressed solidarity with the Air Force and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of the deceased as they cope with the loss.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force during the difficult period, while honouring the service and sacrifice of those who died in the incident.
