As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for local government elections in Oyo State holds on Thursday March 4, 2021, the state Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, has assured all residents of Oyo State of adequate security.
The PDP primaries would hold in all the wards at the 33 local government areas of the state.
Giving the assurance in a statement issued by the police spokesman in the state, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, on Wednesday, March 3, the police commissioner said that officers and men had been deployed to all wards and vulnerable points, to forestall any form of disorder.
She also said that adequate security measures had been taken, calling on all concerned to ensure orderly conduct of the primaries.
Onadeko however warned anyone that might want to foment trouble, to steer clear of the venue of the primaries , as those caught would be decisively dealt with.
