A personnel of the Amotekun Corps in Oyo State, Suleiman Quadir, has been killed in an ambush by suspected armed bandits.
Quadir (25), of Atiba Local Government Area of the state, was killed at Living Farms in Fiditi area on Tuesday.
The suspected bandits launched the attack when Quadir and his colleague, Amo Yisau, were escorting staff of Living Farms to their work place.
While Quadir was killed, his colleague, Yisau, sustained bullet wounds but survived and is receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Owode, Oyo.
Commandant of Amotekun in the state, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (retd), who confirmed the incident via a statement, said the late Quadir had been buried according to Islamic rites.
He said Quadir is survived by an aged father, a wife and a son.
