Police operatives in Ikorodu Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspects after intercepting two commercial buses in which a large quantity of live cartridges were found.
The command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said in a statement on Saturday, September 24, 2022, that the buses were intercepted at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road, Ikorodu.
Also found in the commercial buses were three dismantled motorcycles and some personal effects.
Hundeyin gave the Kano registration numbers of the vehicles as KMC 438 YK and KMC 394 XF.
The suspects were identified as Tukur Abdullah, aged 35; Muazu Telim, aged 50 and Dahiru Idris, aged 36, and were on their way to Katsina State when they were intercepted.
The PPRO stated further that the suspects, the recovered exhibits and the vehicles had been transferred to the command headquarters in Ikeja for further investigations.
