Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Command, Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola, has commended the Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit (Taskforce) on its dedication to strengthening safety and security of the citizenry as well as the sustenance of public order in the state.
The Commissioner of Police gave the commendation on Wednesday, October 23, when he paid a surprise visit to the office of the Taskforce Chairman, CSP Akerele Adetayo, at Bolade, Oshodi, according to a statement by the Taskforce Head, Press and Public Affairs, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem.
Addressing the Chairman, his team of members and top management staff heading administrative departments of the agency, CP Ishola described the taskforce, under the leadership of CSP Akerele, as a key player among others, urging the entire workforce to always maintain a high level of physical and medical wellness, as a sound health status was a key ingredient needed to perform optimally.
Responding, the Taskforce chairman appreciated the police boss for the visit, saying that it was indeed historic.
He said that the positive appraisal received from his boss would serve as the impetus to elicit more commitment and quality service delivery from the Taskforce team, in line with enabling laws guiding the functions of the agency under him.
CSP Akerele thereafter presented a complimentary plaque to CP Ishola, an initiative introduced by the Taskforce helmsman, toward strengthening the espirit de corps and synergy within and among relevant agencies and institutions.
