The people of Esanland in Edo State have been called upon to go beyond political parties and focus on the prosperity of their place of birth in particular and the nation in general.

The charge was given Dr. Elizabeth Okoruwa Okojie a.k.a Dr. Ojugo, who is the President and Coordinating Director, Esan4Esan Global Support League in Lagos, Nigeria, and State of New Jersey, United States of America.

In a statement personally issued by her, Dr Okojie said: ”Today, September 21, 2024, marks a pivotal moment for Esanland as the gubernatorial election unfolds.

“As the electorate exercises its power, we are reminded that our collective focus transcends party lines – the prosperity of Esanland as a people and nation.

“The campaign trail has been marred by divisive rhetoric and denigration, but it is time to put aside differences and unite.

“We must refocus our thinking and take charge of our destiny. The last few weeks have seen utter disaffection, but it’s crucial to look toward a brighter horizon for a new Esanland and, by extension, Edo,” she said.

Speaking on her call to action, she mentioned one of the points as Strategic Unity, saying: “Our sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, must come together to share strategies, workplans, and ideas to shape a new Esanland.”

Secondly, she spoke on “Breaking Spiritual Strongholds,” stating: “We must confront and break the spiritual shackles looming over Esanland, seeking balance between the physical and spiritual realms.

Thirdly, she mentioned “United Prosperity,” stressing that “our ultimate goal is Esan’s victory, aligning with the singular party of “ESAN UNITED FOR PROSPERITY AND DEVELOPMENT.”

She said that as children of the same ancestral heritage, all should pray for peace and stand against forces of wickedness and darkness.

“May God’s light blindfold those who peddle sorrow and evil,” Dr Okojie prayed.

Giving a Biblical reminder, she asked rhetorically: “If the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3).

“This echoes our need for unity and collective action,” she said.

She continued: “As we move forward, let’s remember that our true strength lies in our shared identity and vision for Esanland’s prosperity. God bless Esanland, Edo State, and Nigeria.

“Join the Movement for Esan Prosperity!*

“I invite all Esans, both at home and in the diaspora, to join the Esan4Esan Global Support League, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Esan unity and development. Together, we can make a difference.

“Let us unite for a brighter future!

“God bless Esanland!

“God bless Edo State!!

“God bless Edo Diaspora!!!

“God bless Nigeria!!!!

“God bless America!!!!!”
