Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu has enjoined the command’s police personnel to sustain the already established formidable security structure in the state, as it cannot afford to relent in its efforts.
He also assured them of his readiness to relate and work with the Police Force headquarters in Abuja, the Lagos State Government and relevant stakeholders in providing the required wherewithal to effectively discharge their duties as expected.
Odumosu spoke on Thursday, July 22, 2021, during the feast he made for police officers and men and friends of the command at the headquarters located along Muiz Banire Street, GRA, Ikeja, in the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, according to a statement issued by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
Declaring the feast open, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation to the personnel of the command, especially the rank and file who are the foot soldiers on the field, for their commitment and resilience in combating crimes and criminality in the state.
He said that the Command would partner with other security agencies, traditional rulers and stakeholders to improve on its anti-crime strategies which would make policing easier in the state, as the residents had embraced the community policing concept.
He also encouraged Muslim faithful and the people in general to continue to pray and work for peace and unity of the state and Nigeria at large, stressing that all hands must be on deck to collectively fight common enemies.
