Five months after the October 2020 EndSARS protests hijacked by hoodlums, police operatives attached to Mushin Division of Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old man, Yusuf Saliu, at Daleko Area, Mushin, with one of the motorcycles stolen from Dalemo Police Post in Lagos State.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said in a statement on Thursday, March 25, 2021, that the suspect was arrested on Monday, March 22, at about 9.30pm.
The PPRO said that the suspect’s arrest was a result of intelligence gathered on his activities and involvement in the vandalism of the police post.
Adejobi stated further that the suspect was seen riding the stolen bike with registration number APP 476 Q, adding that it had been recovered, while the matter had been transferred to the Command’s Special Squad for further investigation, as ordered by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
Reiterating the command’s readiness to work with the members of the public on sharing of useful information and exchanging ideas, Odumosu said that it would assist the command in combating crime and criminality in Lagos State.
