ONDO State governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, in his reaction to the killing of a first class traditional ruler in the state, the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi, said Nigeria is in a serious security crisis.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, the state government officially confirmed the murder of Oba Adeusi.
It was gathered that Governor Akeredolu has visited the town alongside some top government officials, to condole with the affected community.
Meanwhile, Akeredolu stated that the security agencies had been directed to fish out the perpetrators of what he described as heinous crime.
He added that the state government would issue a more detailed statement as dictated by tradition, after due consultations with relevant stakeholders in the affected community.
Governor Akeredolu charged all security agencies to come out and confront the development, adding that every necessary support in terms of both human and logistics aids would be provided, to ensure the safety of residents within the State.
According to him, all commercial motorcycle operators, otherwise known as Okada, are to operate within the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Also, all vehicles with unauthorized tinted glasses were banned from plying the roads.
