As part of the efforts of the Oyo State government in ensuring maximum security, a Call Centre meant for the residents has been established by a security outfit in the state, code named Operation Burst.
Commissioning the Call Centre on Thursday, December 10, 2020, the state Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Olawale Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, said that was a plus to the achievements of the state in the area of security.
“You know the four-cardinal agenda of the state is about health, security, increasing the economy of the state with our agricultural advantage and education.
“This Call Centre will help in curtailing criminality in the state.
“There may be several times you need to place a call to Operation Burst operatives, for them to come at a point of distress. It is toll free,” the governor said.
He praised the efforts of Operation Burst operatives in providing security with other security agencies.
The governor enjoined the operatives to put more efforts in their service to the state.
He also appreciated the commitment of the Director General of Operation Burst, Colonel James Ajibola Oladipo, describing the activities of the outfit as “superb.”
In his remarks , Colonel Oladipo said that Governor Makinde had made it mandatory that there must be security in the state at the Yuletide period and beyond.
“Residents of the state must experience peace, and must be able to sleep with their two eyes closed.
“That was why Operation Burst decided to make available a Call Centre, which is being commissioned today,” Colonel Ajibola also said.
He assured that the Call Centre would be effectively used, and distress calls made to the Centre would be attended to.
He gave the numbers to call at the Centre as 09040841573 and 09040841581.
