The Nigerian High Commissioner in charge of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanatu and the Pacifics, Ambassador Anderson Madubike, has paid a courtesy call on the University of Ibadan to encourage students/lecturers’ exchange programmes between the institution and Australian universities.
He was received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola.
In his remarks, Ambassador Madubike said that there are many opportunities to be explored in Australia.
He also disclosed that a special delegation from Australia would be in the UI, University of Lagos, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in October 2023 to further explore opportunities of collaboration and partnerships.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Ayoola, assured the Visitor that UI is always ready to collaborate with other universities.
He said the present management of the University of Ibadan is building upon the achievements of the past administrations, with a view to laying a solid foundation for the future of the University.
