Operatives of Ijebu Ode Division of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, arrested a suspected serial thief, Adegboyega Sulaimon Adesanya, for stealing generators.
Disclosing this on Thursday, the spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo, said that the suspect was apprehended at about 5:30am during a routine patrol by the Division, with the directive of the Ijebu Zonal Commander, Marcus Ayankoya.
The suspect reportedly stole Okayama and Elepaq generating sets from a house at Adelaja Street, off Ondo Road, in Ijebu Ode Local Government Area.
The image-maker said that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, promising to reveal his operational techniques.
Thenewsbearer learnt that the suspect was accused of breaking into a poultry at Idomowo, Ijebu Ode, where he stole fowls and escaped arrest a few weeks before the latest offence was committed.
The PRO said that the suspect and the exhibits found with him had been transfered to Obalende Division of Ogun State Police Command for further interrogation.
