The Oyo State Police Command has said that it has begun an intensive investigation into the abduction of a woman, Mrs Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke and twin sons, Paul and Peter, who were abducted on Wednesday, June 3.
Thenewsbearer gathered that the three family members were abducted while the mother was taking the twins to school.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, in a statement, said that immediately the report was received, the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola, directed the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Challenge Division, alongside other tactical teams to the scene where the victim’s vehicle was recovered.
The PPRO said: “The Command wishes to assure members of the public that all necessary resources have been deployed to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and arrest of those responsible for this criminal act.
“Investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.”
He urged residents to cooperate with the police by providing useful information that might assist the ongoing investigations, in addition to remaining calm and law-abiding.
