The Oyo State Judicial Commission of Enquiry probing the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Esinele and Yawota communities of Oriire Local Government Area has invited members of the public with relevant information to submit written memoranda to aid its investigation.
The invitation was contained in a public notice signed by the Secretary of the Commission, Mrs. Olamide Sandra Tella, who urged individuals and organisations with useful facts, evidence or documents relating to the incident to forward them to the panel.
According to the notice, submissions should provide details on the circumstances leading to the abduction, the events surrounding the incident, the security situation before, during and after the attack, as well as any acts or omissions that may have contributed to its occurrence.
The Commission also requested information on the response of security agencies, government institutions, communities and individuals, alongside recommendations that could help prevent similar incidents in the future.
It advised contributors to include their full names, contact details and any supporting documents where applicable.
Memoranda should be addressed to the Secretary, Judicial Commission of Enquiry into the Abduction of Students and Teachers in Esinele and Yawota Communities, Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.
Submissions can be delivered physically at the Commission’s Secretariat, Conference Room, Office of the Head of Service, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, or sent via email to oysjceoriireabduction@gmail.com.
The Commission fixed August 14, 2026, as the deadline for the submission of memoranda.
