Gunmen kidnap another farmer in Oyo

JUST days after killing a petrol station owner in Igbo-Ora community and abducting a medical doctor in Tapa community, both in Oyo State, gunmen, on Monday evening, abducted a farmer in Igangan.
According to a source who does not want his name in print, the gunmen, who are suspected to be herdsmen, trailed the farmer from his farm to his house after which he was abducted.
The latest abduction is coming three weeks after a farmer was abducted at his farm on the Ibadan/Oyo road.
Also last year, a Lebanese farmer was abducted in front of his farm on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway before he was rescued by security agencies.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, is yet to comment on the latest abduction incident in the state.
