Senator Kola Balogun has described the death of the wife of Senator Teslim Folarin, Chief Mrs Angela Folarin, as another painful and sad loss.
Balogun, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said this in a condolence message to Senator Folarin and his family over the death of Mrs Folarin.
The late wife of Senator Folarin reportedly died in the United Kingdom on Friday, January 28, 2022, and was said to have been hale and hearty until her demise.
Senator Balogun, in the condolence message by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Mr Dapo Falade, described the death of Senator Folarin’s wife as sudden, unfortunate and unexpected, as there was no report that she was suffering from any ailment.
He said her death was saddening given that Oyo State had yet to recover from the deaths of some of its prominent indigenes within the past one month.
Senator Balogun said: “If circumstances of the death of Mrs Folarin is anything to go by, it was a sad occurrence. It was reported that she was hale and hearty until her passage today.
“Her death was unfortunate and devastating. Here was a woman that was reported to be hale and hearty before her death.
“Again, this is another sad loss. We are yet to recover from the loss of some of our prominent indigenes in the state within the last one month.”
Senator Balogun urged the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that she lived a good life and was always supportive of her husband when she was alive.
“My distinguished colleague, Senator Teslim Folarin, losing a dear one is a sad and painful experience. But I will like you to find solace in the maxim that God gives and takes.
“On behalf of my wife, Mrs Gbonjubola Kola-Balogun and the entire people of Oyo South Senatorial District, I hereby express heartfelt condolences over this sad loss.
“May God, in His infinite mercies, grant the deceased a peaceful rest and comfort you and your family over this irreparable loss,” Senator Balogun added in the statement.
