The death of the Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, has plunged the Corps into mourning, with Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed describing his passing as another painful loss to the organisation.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 18, by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, Mohammed said the Corps was still coming to terms with the death of its former Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, making Ogunjobi’s demise a further blow to the FRSC family.
The Corps Marshal, on behalf of the management and entire workforce, extended condolences to Ogunjobi’s family, officers and marshals of the Ogun State Sector Command, and all those touched by his life and service.
Expressing the Corps’ grief, Mohammed described Ogunjobi’s death as “another painful reminder of how fragile life is,” noting that the successive losses had made it a difficult period for the organisation.
He said FRSC personnel were members of one family, united by shared sacrifices and a common commitment to saving lives on Nigerian roads. He urged officers and marshals, particularly those in Ogun State, to remain united and draw strength from their collective dedication to service.
Mohammed prayed for the peaceful repose of Ogunjobi’s soul and asked Almighty God to comfort his immediate family and grant them the strength to bear the loss. He also sought divine comfort for the entire FRSC workforce.
He added that although death might silence a voice and end a journey, it could not erase the memories, relationships and contributions of a life devoted to service.
