The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on July 2, 2026, hosted a delegation of former Inspectors-General of Police who paid him an official visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The retired IGPs who were part of the visit included Aliyu Attah, Sunday Ehindero, Mike Mbama Okiro, Ogbonna Onachukwu Onovo, Abubakar Ringim, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, Sulaiman Abba, Usman Alkali Baba, and Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
The discussions centred on leveraging the vast institutional memory and strategic insights of the past police chiefs to tackle contemporary security challenges and accelerate ongoing police reforms.
The IGP, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to his predecessors, noting that their wealth of experience remains an invaluable asset to the Force administration.
