In order to ensure smooth traffic flow and take charge of emergencies, the Commissioner of Police in Kano State Police Command, Mamman Dauda, on Saturday, February 4, and Sunday, February 5, organised training for Area Traffic Officers (ATOs) and Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs) supervising the traffic control of area commands and police divisions respectively within Kano Metropolis.
The training was facilitated by the officer in charge of Kano State Police Command Motor Traffic Division (MTD), SP Abubakar Imam.
Disclosing this in a statement, the command’s spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said that during the theory and practical sessions, the officers were trained on and directed to ensure smooth flow of the traffic and take care of emergencies such as fire service motor vehicles, ambulances, accidents, among others.
At the end of the training sessions, the traffic officers were given reflective jackets told to ensure efficient service delivery.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the officers for their efforts and members of the public for their prayers, support, encouragement and cooperation.
