Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has commiserated with the entire Muslim Community in Oke Ogun over the death of the chairman of the Oke Ogun League of Imams and Alfas and Chief Imam of Tede, Alhaji Ahmad Tijani Adedigba.
The governor’s condolence message was contained in a statement by the Special Assistant (Print Media) to the governor, Mr Moses Alao, on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Describing the late Chief Imam as a great leader and lover of peace, the governor said that he contributed immensely to the religious harmony being enjoyed in the Oke Ogun area of the state.
Makinde, who expressed his condolences to the immediate family of the late Alhaji Adedigba and the people of Atisbo Local Government Area, prayed to God to grant his soul Aljanah Firdaus.
He said: “I received with sadness the news of the death of Alhaji Ahmad Tijani Adedigba, the chairman of the Oke Ogun League of Imams and Alfas and Chief Imam of Tede in Atisbo Local Government Area of the state.
“I am using this occasion to commiserate with his immediate family, the people of Atisbo Local Government Area and the Muslim Ummah in Oke Ogun.
“The late Chief Imam was a man of peace and a great leader who provided direction to the Imams and Alfas body and contributed to the peaceful religious atmosphere in Oke Ogun.
“While submitting to the will of God and praying to Him to grant his soul Aljanah Firdaus and also abide with everyone he left behind, I am certain that the body and the Muslim Ummah in Tede will miss his immense contributions.”
