Operatives of Social Orientation and Safety Corps, (So-Safe Corps), in Ogun State, have arrested a robbery suspect, Joseph Michael, for allegedly shooting one Mr. Kudus, popularly called ‘Alfa’, dead at Arepo/Fadunsi, Ijoko in Ifo Local Government Area.
Two other victims sustained injuries and are receiving treatment in the hospital.
This was disclosed in a statement from the the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the State Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo on December 12, 2022.
In the statement, it was said that on Sunday, December 11, at about 8pm, the patrol team of Arepo Division of the Corps under Ifo 2 Area Command, headed by Ajayi Amos, an Assistant Corps Commander, apprehended the suspect after he was pursued and captured.
Other members of the gang escaped on three motorbikes, Thenewsbearer learnt.
The PRO said that the Corps was making effort to arrest the gang members who escaped with the gun used to perpetrate the crime, while the suspect in their custody had been transfered to the police for further investigation and likely prosecution.
