The Ogun State Police Command has recovered the vehicle belonging to a retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, who was recently found dead alongside her security guard at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Owode-Egba, Ogun State.
The command disclosed the development on Monday, noting that the Lexus RX300, which was reported missing after the incident, was recovered during a police operation conducted overnight. The vehicle has since been secured as part of ongoing investigations into the killings.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, visited the crime scene to assess the progress of the investigation and receive updates from detectives handling the case.
During the visit, the police commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to uncovering the circumstances surrounding the deaths and ensuring that those responsible are identified and brought to justice.
The victims were discovered after residents reportedly raised concerns over suspicious activities around the property.
Preliminary investigations revealed signs of forced entry into the residence.
Police officers found the security guard dead at his duty post, while Oyesiku’s body was later discovered inside the apartment.
Her vehicle was initially found to be missing from the premises, prompting a search operation.
Authorities said intensive investigations remain ongoing, with detectives pursuing leads aimed at identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.
The police also extended condolences to the family of the deceased and assured residents that all available resources are being deployed to resolve the case.
