For members of the public who need to be captured for tinted glass permit and character certificate, the Police Specialised Services Automation Project (POSSAP) has established its secretariat annex at the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Thenewsbearer reports that POSSAP was officially launched on June 2, 2022.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, in a statement on Monday, March 3, said that POSSAP Annex in Ogun currently provides capturing services for:
•Police Character Certificate (PCC)
•Tinted Glass Permit (TGP)
She said that for people to apply for PCC or TGP, they should visit www.possap.gov.ng and complete their registration.
“After successful registration, visit our office at POSSAP Secretariat Annex, Ogun State for capturing. Once captured, we will process your application for certificate issuance,” she stated.
Enlightening prospective applicants, the PPRO said that processing duration is between three and five days after successful registration, while certificate validation is three months.
She enjoined applicants encountering any registration issues to visit the office for guidance, saying that registration must be done online.
She listed the requirements for police character certificate (PCC) for applicants in Nigeria to include:
•National Identification Number (NIN)
•Valid email address
•International passport bio-data page
•Passport photograph
•Residential address
•State and Local Government Area of residence
•Country of destination
•Reason for enquiry
•State of origin
Required from Nigerians abroad (diaspora applicants) are:
•NIN/BVN
•Valid email address
•International passport bio-data page
•Passport photograph
•Proof of residence (Visa, Foreign Bank Statement, Utility Bill, or Resident Permit)
•Country of residence
•Destination country
•Completed biometric form
•Reason for enquiry
•Residential address in Nigeria
•Local Government Area of residence in Nigeria
