An unnamed suspected vandal was on Friday, August 21, found crouching, lifeless and stiff, by a transformer along Trademore Road, Lugbe, Abuja.
The crowd which gathered to behold the sight at dawn, was of the belief that the incident occurred when electricity supply was restored in the area in the early hours of the day, and the suspect was caught in the act.

In their different comments, passersby lamented the damages and the cost effect of the activities of vandals, saying: “This serves him right, and will be a caution and lesson to others like him.”
A female domestic staff, Mrs Saki Adekunle, who was at the scene, said that her boss and other residents in the area she lives in had contributed money several times to replace vandalised transformer cables and other electrical parts.
The Police Public Relations Officer in FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the story to Thenewsbearer when contacted.
The PPRO said that when the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Trademore Division heard of the incident, she promptly visited the scene, evacuated the body of the deceased, and took it to a mortuary at Gwagwalada for autopsy.
