The Ogun State-owned Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps), Idiroko Division, has arrested a suspect, Timileyin Abayomi, for allegedly breaking into a house to steal a motorcycle.
The suspect was arrested by the Corps’ patrol team at Ilashe in Ipokia Local Government Area of the state on Monday, November 7, 2022 at about 3pm, Thenewsbearer learnt.
According to a statement by the Corps’
Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, issued on behalf of the state Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo, the suspect reportedly broke into the compound of one Mr Taiwo Joseph at ldaba, llashe, went through the kitchen and stole a motorcycle.
The spokesman said that when the Corps was alerted, a patrol team led by Abdurazak Abdulkareem, chased him while he was trying to escape by running into a neighbour’s compound.
He was said to have broken a ceiling, entered through it and jumped into a room, where he was eventually arrested.
During interrogation, confessed to being a union worker by profession and a resident of Alagbon in Owode, Yewa South Local Government.
The PRO added that the motorcycle was recovered and handed over to the police at Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
