Three suspected members of a syndicate which specialized in duping unsuspecting passengers have been arrested by police operatives inOjodu Division of Lagos State Police Command.
The names of the suspects were given as Abiodun Bamidele (48), Olumide Faleye (45) and Toyin Adekoya (49).
The police spokesman in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this, said that the suspects were nabbed on Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 10:30 am at Omole Estate Phase 1 when their victim raised the alarm.
The suspects, carried out their operation using a Toyota Camry car with registration number KSF 608 GH, and disguised as driver and passengers, the PPRO revealed.
He stated further that the gang would pick unsuspecting passengers and start discussions about some dollars purportedly kept in the boot.
“Investigation revealed that the gang started this crime in January. The suspects have since been arraigned,” Hundeyin added.
