Two suspected armed robbers were brought down in a gun duel by police operatives in Area B, Apapa of the Lagos State Police Command, in their bid to escape arrest.
The armed robbers were identified as Sodiq, a.k.a. Foreigner, and Habeeb ‘m’ a.k.a Kiki.
The command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this on Sunday, August 7, 2022, said that the felled suspects had been wanted for terrorizing Ajegunle and environs, before they were trailed to their hideout in Ajegunle.
Thenewsbearer learnt that one of the suspects, Sodiq, was recently released from prison.
Recovered from them were a Beretta pistol, a locally-made revolver pistol with four rounds of 9mm live ammunition and an expended shell of ammunition.
The state police command urged youths in particular to desist from crimes, as the long arm of the law would always catch up with criminals, no matter how long it takes.
