Proud of her alma mater, an alumnus of the University of Ibadan and Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine, Keele University, United Kingdom, Dr Opeyemi Babatunde, has facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Keele University and a JIGSAW-A project in partnership with UI.
Other areas facilitated by Dr Babatunde were grant writing workshop for 50 UI members of staff to hold in June 2024, and a two-person delegation visit to Keele University in April 2024.
The delegation was made up of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose, SAN, and Dr Mobolaji Omobowale, Acting Head of Department, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.
They met with the two Deputy Vice- Chancellors of Keele University in charge of Research and Internationalisation.
A robust relationship is expected to develop between the two universities as a result of the visit to further promote the internationalization efforts of UI.
