The University of Ibadan has begun its Post-UTME for students’ admission into its 16 faculties for undergraduate programmes in the 2022/2023 academic session.
The Computer Based Test (CBT), which began today, Monday, February 20, 2023, at the University’s Distance Learning Centre, Ajibode will last two days.
Today’s examinations were for students in the Humanities, while students in the Sciences will be examined tomorrow.
There were three shifts of examinations today, while four shifts will be held tomorrow.
About 1,200 students were examined during each shift.
Admission seekers totalling 8,050 are expected to participate in the exercise. The admission quota of the University stands at about 4000.
Parents and guardians who came along with their children/wards were seen waiting patiently around the premises.
It was, however, a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Aderonke Baiyeroju; Dean, Students Affairs, Prof. Keye Abiona; Chairman, Senate Committee on Admissions, Prof. O. Fagbola; Director, Distance Learning Centre, Prof. E. B. Omobowale, the Deputy Registrar of the DLC, Mrs Francisca Ayodele; and other officials were on hand to monitor the examinations.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebowale, commended the organisers for all their efforts as well as the candidates for conducting themselves appropriately.
