‎”We find some comfort in the fact that he did something he has done for so many summers – went down to the field with his friends to play cricket,” the boy’s father wrote in a statement.

‎The accident occurred when the 17-year-old was warming up with his teammates.
‎
‎”We also want to express our support for his teammate who threw the ball – this accident has affected two young men, and our thoughts are also with him and his family,” the father writes.

‎The boy died in hospital on Thursday afternoon, local time.
