A new video has circulated on social media where the abducted principal of Community High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mrs Rachael Alamu, was seen pleading with the government not to attack the bandits but accede to their requests.
Speaking in the video, Mrs Alamu said they were suffering as a result of the harsh environment in the forest, particularly when it rains, just as she appealed to the Federal and state governments to quickly take the necessary actions to bring the situation to an end.
She particularly said the pupils were suffering the most and needed to return home as soon as possible, while further pleading with government to settle fast with the bandits as they had been in the forest for 13 days and that the bandits had chosen another person to kill if government failed to act fast on their demands.
She said: “Please I am here again to beg the government. President Tinubu and the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to please help us and dialogue with this people.
”They should not use force. The force they have used yesterday has caused us so much. It has added to our problems. In fact, one of us has been picked that they are going to kill him because government tried to help us by force.
“We want you to call them and dialogue with them, so that our lives will be saved
In the video, a huge cloth was used as the background so that security forces would not be able to use it to analyse their location.
