The PPRO noted that the recorded breakthrough is part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal arms and ammunition and enhance public safety across the State.
Thenewsbearer gathered that during interrogation, the suspects could not provide any lawful explanation or satisfactory account for the possession of the recovered ammunition.
Further investigative findings, according to the police spokesman, indicated that the suspects were suspected to be involved in the illicit trafficking and supply of ammunition to criminal elements operating within and beyond the State.
