Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has partnered with MONAT to sponsor the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free educational programme designed to equip children with practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The camp, which began on July 20, 2026, will expose children to hands-on STEM learning through activities that promote creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving.
Participants will engage in guided building sessions, age-appropriate science and technology projects, financial literacy classes, creative exercises and interactive group learning facilitated by experienced instructors.
Speaking on the initiative, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the bank believes children should be introduced to innovation and technology from an early age.
According to him, the Young Innovators Camp will provide a fun and practical environment where children can develop the confidence, curiosity and skills required to become future innovators capable of solving real-world problems.
He added that Fidelity Bank considers STEM education a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, noting that the partnership with MONAT aligns with the bank’s commitment to helping people grow, thrive and prosper.
Nwagboh said the programme is aimed at inspiring a new generation of engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors and technology leaders who will contribute meaningfully to national development.
The initiative complements Fidelity Bank’s existing educational and youth development programmes, including SWEETA, and reflects the bank’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda focused on education, skills development and youth empowerment.
To further encourage learning beyond the camp, every participant will receive a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials for continued exploration at home.
Participation in the Young Innovators Camp is free. Parents and guardians with children between the ages of four and 10 years are encouraged to register them through MONAT’s official registration portal.
