Lagos State Police Command has arrested 12 suspects in connection with the clash among some youths in Aguda area, Surulere on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
The incident left one Munero, who was alleged to be a serial killer in the area, dead, after he was said to have been lynched by irate youths in the area.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that normalcy had been restored in the area, while additional policemen had been deployed under the supervision of the Area Commander, Area C, Surulere, Fatai Tijani.
The police commissioner stated further that exhibits recovered from the suspects included arms and ammunition, while they had been helping the police in their investigation.
“We will still arrest more as we continue our investigation into the matter,” Odumosu added.
