The Federal lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District at National Assembly, Senator Kola Balogun, has called for urgent intervention of the Transition Company of Nigeria to the poor supply of electricity in Apete, Ajibode, Awotan, Akufo and its environs in his constituency and the state at large.
Balogun, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain in letter to the Managing Director Transition Company of Nigeria
said, “it is pathetic that our people have to go through a whole lot of
challenges which was expressed in their letter addressed to me and dated
April 9th, 2021.
“Kindly use your good offices to grant their request which are clearly
stated in the penultimate paragraph of the letter.
The residents, had through the Community Development Association (CDA) written a letter to express their displeasure to the attitude and manner of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company in respect to power supply in the communities.
In the letter signed by the Chairman, Engineer Rasaq Fabayo and Alhaji Ajadi Oladeji, the series to letters and dialogue with the IBEDC Management about the marginalization of our
communities in terms of poor electricity supply proved abortive as nothing has been done concerning our complaints till date.
