Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Command, Abiodun Alabi, has reiterated his charge to officers and men not to smear his hard-earned reputation by their unprofessional conducts.
Alabi gave the warning while addressing Heads of Departments and Sectional Heads in the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
Concerned about rights of citizens, the police commissioner further warned Heads of Investigation Sections against detaining suspects in their custody for too long, saying that they must dispense with criminal cases speedily.
He also warned administrative office personnel and others to always manage information effectively and be guided by the oath of secrecy when handling official correspondence and other matters.
Alabi admonished the personnel not to work at cross purposes but to ensure inter-departmental and inter-sectional harmony.
