The newly installed President of the Rotary Club of Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Rotarian Kehinde Omolara Adeoye, has pledged to deepen the club’s community impact and strengthen membership growth as she assumes leadership for the 2026/2027 Rotary year.
Adeoye made the commitment during her investiture as the 20th President and third female president of the club, where she outlined her administration’s focus on sustainable service projects in line with Rotary International’s theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”
She expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in her and promised to work closely with the club’s leadership team to advance humanitarian interventions that would benefit communities.
“In line with this year’s Rotary theme, ‘Create Lasting Impact,’ we will focus on service initiatives that address community needs while strengthening and growing our membership,” Adeoye said.
The new president stressed that effective leadership depends on collective effort and urged members to actively support the club’s programmes through participation, material contributions and financial support.
According to her, the club has already identified projects and service initiatives across Rotary’s Areas of Focus and the Seven Avenues of Service, noting that collaboration among members would be crucial to achieving meaningful results.
Adeoye also pledged to discharge her responsibilities in line with the constitution and bylaws of the club while upholding Rotary International’s values of integrity, dedication and service above self.
The investiture ceremony also highlighted the achievements recorded under the immediate past president, Rotarian Gbola Olayiwola, whose administration invested about N11 million in roofing the club’s clubhouse.
Olayiwola described the roofing project as one of the most significant accomplishments of his tenure, saying it would serve as a lasting legacy for current and future members.
He noted that the project was made possible through the contributions of members and past leaders of the club.
He added that the club remained active in Rotary International’s Polio Eradication Campaign and other district projects, while also strengthening youth development initiatives.
According to him, Past President Engr. Tola Akinola sponsored 10 youths to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) programme at a cost of N500,000, demonstrating the club’s commitment to nurturing future leaders.
Olayiwola further disclosed that the club admitted five new members during the year without losing any existing member, a development he said reflected the organisation’s growing appeal among professionals.
The ceremony attracted Rotary district leaders, past presidents, Rotaractors, friends of Rotary and other distinguished guests who gathered to witness the leadership transition and celebrate the club’s achievements.
