The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal, alongside other deputy governors in Nigeria was at a one-day national workshop for the establishment of national consultative forum for chairmen of state boundaries and border management agencies of the federal government.
The theme of the Workshop was “Converting Borders From Barriers Of Separation to Bridges Of Cooperation And Regional Integration.”
The workshop, held in Abuja, had in attendance the Director General, National Boundary Commission, Adamu Adaji; Executive Secretary, Border Communities Development Agency, Captain Junaid Abdullahi and Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Idris Isah Jere.
Other personalities who gave addresses at the workshop included the National Security Adviser, Major-Gen.Babagana Monguno; the Comptoller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Alli (rtd) and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali.
