•One arrested, gun recovered
A rival cult clash between Eiye and Aiye Confraternities has left one dead in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The police have also arrested one suspect, Akeem Martins, and also recovered a locally-made pistol with live cartridges.
Thenewsbearer gathered from a credible source that clash between the rival cults started at night on Tuesday, December 22, at Adefisan area.
The Area Commander, ACP Abiodun Chuks Onuoha, was said to have mobilised Divisional Police Officers to move to the area of the clash, in order to bring it under control.
The source added that calm had been restored in the area by the police.
He said that the police had yet to ascertain if there were other casualties.
