President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sympathy to the family of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on the demise of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

(Media and Publicity), Femi Adesina, on Thursday, May 6, 2021, the president also commiserated with members of the RCCG on the demise of the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, urging them to find comfort in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures that those who have chosen to serve God faithfully would see Him, as He is in eternity.
“The president prays to God Almighty to grant the departed rest in His everlasting kingdom and comfort grieving family, friends and associates,” Adesina stated in the release.
Also, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has described the death of the son of RCCG’s General Overseer as tragic.
In a condolence medsage, issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bishop Emmah Gospel Isong, the PFN said that Pastor Dare Adeboye’s death was shocking.
The body stated: “The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, under the able leadership of His Eminence, Bishop Wale Oke,deeply mourns Pastor Dare Adeboye’s departure at such a tender age of 42.
“Let us Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving(Col. 4:2 KJV).
“Our heartfelt condolences to Papa and Mama Adeboye, and the entire members of the RCCG worldwide. May the Lord uphold them.”
The PFN further prayed that God would give the family and the church the fortitude to bear the loss.
Pastor Dare Adeboye, who would have been 43 in June 2021, was reported dead on Thursday, May 6.
Although the news of the death had not been made official, members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), friends and associates had been discussing the development on social media.
It was gathered that after returning from church in Abuja, Pastor Dare asked not to be disturbed and went to sleep, but transited in the process.
His wife, Temiloluwa, was said to have noticed the unusual long hours he slept, making her to raise the alarm, which led to the discovery of his dead body.
