The management of the University of Ibadan has that it did not refuse to give the graduates of Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry their certificates but had technical glitches in getting the certificates ready.
The management stated this after its attention was drawn to an online report that went viral about the graduates not receiving their certificates.
The management said further that concerted efforts were made to redeem the situation while it reached out to the licencing boards to plead on behalf of the graduates.
“The management is pleased to inform the affected graduates that the certificates are now ready for collection.
“The management assures its teeming graduates that the University of Ibadan will never impede their progress.
“The management appreciates the cooperation of the licencing board and the concern of all stakeholders,” the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr G. O. Saliu said.
