A musician, Aniji Shedrack Chidubem a.k.a Sanij-D, has been arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly defrauding a Briton, Susan Mclean, of 9,300 Euros.
The EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, who made this known on Monday, October 16, said that the suspect also defrauded an American, Diana Rosado Gonzalax, of $2,000.
Thenewsbearer learnt that the suspect was arrested at Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, based on credible intelligence on the activities of a syndicate of internet fraudsters.
Chidubem was said to have impersonated one Christopher Rossi, a marine engineer that fixes boats and pipelines in Singapore.
He reportedly used Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp applications with foreign phone numbers as his fraudulent means of perpetrating and defrauding his victims, the spokesman said.
Oyewale added that the musician would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
