Twenty-four-year-old Muhammad Abubakar was on Friday, January 6, 2023, arrested by the personnel of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) for allegedly stealing valuables from a hotel he lodged in.
Also, in efforts to arrest the suspect, he reportedly resisted, biting off a finger of one of the So-Safe officers detailed to the scene of the incident.
Among the items stolen were electronics fixed in the room he lodged in.
The suspect, a resident of Oloko Area in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area was said to have lodged in a room at Keke Hotel, Iyana Iyesi, Ota in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area when he committed the act.

According to a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the State Commander, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, the suspect arrived at the hotel with a lady on Thursday, January 5, at about 11pm to book a room.
After a couple of hours, a hotel staff noticed the female guest moving towards the main entrance of the hotel and stopped her, asking her to return to the room she lodged in with the suspect.
Surprisingly, as they got to the room, they saw that the suspect had detached some electronic devices, including CCTV cable and ceiling fan, among other valuable items in the room.
In efforts to arrest the suspect, he reportedly damaged two of the hotel rooms and chopped off a finger of one of the So-Safe officers.
The PRO said that the suspect and the exhibit recovered from him had been transfered to the Onipanu Divisional Headquarters of Ogun State Police Command for further investigation.
