The Ibarapa Critical Stakeholders Forum (ICSF) is set to honour some of the notable sons and daughters of Ibarapaland at a grand recognition ceremony scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Eruwa, Oyo State.
The event, tagged “Grand Reception and Recognition Ceremony in Honour of Distinguished Ibarapa Sons and Daughters,” will hold at the Damola Event Centre, opposite Baptist Grammar School, Lanlate Road, Orita, Eruwa, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Oyo State Head of Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Adenike Ayobami Fasina, will be the Principal Honouree at the ceremony, which is expected to bring together prominent personalities from government, academia, security, traditional institutions and other sectors.
Among those scheduled to receive recognition are Major General Ayobami Fadairo, General Officer Commanding, 82 Mechanised Division, Nigerian Army; Hon. Justice Yemi Saubana Adekunle of the Oyo State High Court of Justice; Prof. Peter Olamakinde Olapegba, 14th Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan; and Prof. Olanrewaju Ademola Olaniyan, Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
Others include Prof. Akinola Kehinde Akinlabi, Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora; Engr. Olufemi Emmanuel Dare, Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State; CP Hammed Sule, Force Communication Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Mrs. Funmilayo Bosede Akintunde, Registrar, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa; Mr. Jacob Olusegun Olaewe, Bursar, Federal College of Education, Okene; and Mrs. Adejuwon Bolatito Sekinah, FCA, Bursar, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
The ICSF will also recognise several Permanent Secretaries, including Dr. (Mrs.) Kafilat Adefunke Hamzat, Prince Imran Adegoke Adenrele, JP, Mr. Muyiwa Sunday Olagoke, Mr. Zacheaus Olawale Olaniyan, Mr. Biliaminu Oketade Aderinto, Mr. Oluwatosin Adekunle Aderibigbe and Dr. Mofoluwake Moriyike Ibitoye.
In a statement signed by the ICSF Media and Publicity Committee to announce the event, the organisers said the ceremony is designed to celebrate individuals whose achievements and contributions in public service, leadership, academia, security and other areas have brought honour to Ibarapaland.
The event is also expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to promote unity, inspire younger generations and strengthen collective efforts towards the socio-economic development of the region.
Expected guests include the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, traditional rulers and other distinguished personalities.
The Ibarapa Critical Stakeholders Forum is a non-partisan, community-oriented platform focused on promoting unity, sustainable development, youth mentorship and strategic engagement for the advancement of Ibarapaland.
