The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month-old strike, Thenewsbearer has learnt.
Though the union has yet to make an official pronouncement, it was gathered that the decision was taken at the end of the National Executive Council meeting which was held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the ASUU secretariat in Abuja.
A source within the NEC said: “Yes, it has been called off,” adding that “the president will release an official circular in the morning.”
