The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Adekimi Ojo, has ordered an investigation into the allegation that police officers were involved in an act of extortion in the state.
In a video footage circulating on social media, the police officers were alleged of involvement in extortion along Osi-Eruku road in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Command’s spokeswoman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said in a statement on Tuesday, November 4, that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken if the officers involved were identified and found guilty.
“The Command remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all its operations,” the PPRO stated.
